The benefits of Yoga have been studied and scientifically proven by the National Institutes of Health, as well as other scientific bodies, both on stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and addiction, among many other life challenges. In fact, the NIH now sponsors an NIH Yoga Week: Exploring the Science and Practice of Yoga.  In a country where 25 million people are treated with anti-depressants each year, at a cost of 50 billion dollars, Yoga has finally been recognized and embraced by mainstream science as having profound healing benefits for both physical and emotional issues.
